Menschen und andere Primaten nehmen ihre Umwelt hochgradig selektiv wahr. Neben aktuellen Zielen, Intentionen, und Aufgaben (task), spielen Erwartungen und Vorhersagen eine entscheidende Rolle bei der Informationsauswahl. In den letzten Jahren lieferten Verhaltensexperimente in Kombination mit neurowissenschaftlichen Messmethoden (z.B., EEG, fMRT) ein neues Bild davon, wie Selektion und Prädiktion beim Sehen zusammenwirken. In dem Seminar werden aktuelle (englischsprachige) Forschungsarbeiten, die diesen Trend widerspiegeln, vorgestellt und diskutiert. Voraussetzung für eine sinnvolle Teilnahme ist die Kenntnis wesentlicher Inhalte der Vorlesung „Einführung in die neurokognitive Psychologie“ (Modul X.2).

Requirements for participation, required level

Das Seminar richtet sich an B.Sc. Hauptfachstudierende, die das Anwendungsfach IV „Neurowissenschaften“ gewählt haben. Kenntnisse der wesentlichen Inhalte der Vorlesungen X.1 (Einführung in die Neuropsychologie) und X.2 (Einführung in die Neurokognitive Psychologie) werden vorausgesetzt.
