Gedächtnis und Gedächtnisstörungen werden aus Sicht der Hirnforschung diskutiert. Hierbei soll sowohl auf gängige Unterteilungen in Gedächtnissysteme und neurale Netze wie auch auf psychische und damit umweltinduzierte Einflüsse auf die Verarbeitung - Einspeicherung, Abspeicherung und Abruf - von Fakten und Episoden eingegangen werden.
