This course explores how scientific articles are read and interpreted, how research findings are presented, and how scientific arguments are developed. It is intended for students who wish to develop an appropriate skill set for literature-associated tasks in biotechnology.
While the first part of the course will focus on developing an understanding how to efficiently read a scientific document, the second part will highlight methods to interpret and present the content of a paper and critically discuss its credibility. These methods will be applied to actually present a scientific paper in front of the other attendees.
