Das Werkstatt-Seminar dient der Erarbeitung und Kritik selbstständiger philosophischer Texte auf fortgeschrittenem Niveau, und zwar zu Themen aus dem Bereich der Praktischen Philosophie. Es bildet also im Rahmen der neuen Studiengänge das Gegenstück zum bisherigen Kolloquium. Zur Sprache kommen hauptsächlich Vorlagen aus dem Kreis der Teilnehmenden, aber es können auch Neuerscheinungen oder auswärtige Manuskripte, die von allgemeinem Interesse sind, besprochen werden.
Für eine Leistungsbescheinigung (im Master-Studiengang) wird die Vorlage und Diskussion eines größeren selbstständigen Textes erwartet.

Voraussetzung ist die aktive, regelmäßige und erfolgreiche Teilnahme an zwei Graduiertenseminaren.
