Partizipation gilt als ein wesentliches Element der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit. Aber wer partizipiert an was, und zu welchem Zweck? Es gibt viele unterschiedliche Vorstellungen von Partizipation, und sie werden mit mehr oder weniger Konsequenz umgesetzt. Partizipation gibt es sowohl als Element bei der Gestaltung von Entwicklungsmaßnahmen, als auch als Ziel für den politischen Prozess: Wenn Gesellschaften sich demokratisieren, sollen Bevölkerung und Zivilgesellschaft stärker beteiligt werden, was ein Ziel der Entwicklungspolitik sein kann.
Im Seminar befassen wir uns mit zentralen Konzepten der Partizipation, ihrer Anwendung von der Planung über die Durchführung, zu Monitoring und Evaluierung in Entwicklungsmaßnahmen, den Vorteilen und Schwierigkeiten, dem Nutzen und einer Methodik, die Partizipation fördert.
Der Seminarleiter arbeitet als Berater in der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit. Literaturhinweise gibt es in der Einführungsveranstaltung.
