Während Inlinern und Mountainbiking, Capoeira oder Tae Bo mittlerweile aus dem Bereich des Freizeitsports nicht mehr wegzudenken sind, erhalten Kinder und Jugendliche im Schulsport häufig nur wenig Gelegenheit, Handlungs- und Bewegungserfahrungen in den sogenannten Trendsportarten zu sammeln.
Im Seminar soll daher gefragt werden, ob und wie Trendsport im Sportunterricht der Schulen angemessen unterrichtet werden kann. Ausdrücklich wird hierbei auch der Bezug zu außerschulischen Sportanbietern wie Fitnessstudios oder Sportvereinen gesucht. Im Verlauf des Seminars sollen die Studierenden entweder Unterrichtseinheiten zum Thema Trendsport selbst entwickeln und ggf. eproben oder bestehende Unterrichtsvorhaben vorstellen und auswerten.
