Um auf natürliche Weise mit Menschen kommunizieren zu können, müssen Maschinen natürliche Sprache verarbeiten und generieren können, insbesondere müssen sie die Bedeutung des Gesagten repräsentieren und zu dem Wissen, das sie haben, in Bezug setzen können.

In diesem Seminar soll es genau darum gehen: die Interpretation und Generierung natürlicher Sprache in Bezug auf Hintergrundwissen. Das Werkzeug der Wahl wird Grammatical Framework (GF) sein, ein System zur Programmierung und Anwendung von Grammatiken. Im Laufe des Semesters werden sowohl theoretische Grundlagen zu Grammatiktheorie und formaler Semantik als auch deren praktische Umsetzung in GF eingeführt werden.

Die erworbenen Kenntnisse sollen in der begleitenden Übung (392158) dann angewendet und ausgebaut werden.
