In den meisten Fällen finden RadiologInnen auch schwer zu erkennende Tumore und Fremdkörper auf Röntgenaufnahmen. Jedoch werden gelegentlich auch klinisch relevante Objekte übersehen, welche deutlich sichtbar sind. Unter Laborbedingungen lässt sich zeigen, dass übersehene relevante Objekte von den RadiologInnen teilweise direkt angeschaut wurden. In diesem Vortrag soll ein Überblick über den aktuellen Forschungsstand zu Übersehensfehlern in der Radiologie gegeben werden: Warum liefert computergestützte Diagnostik in der Anwendung nicht den Vorteil, den man beim aktuellen Fortschritt in AI erwarten würde? Und was bedeutet es, wenn RadiologInnen den Krebs auf einer Röntgenaufnahme „fühlen“ aber nicht bewusst ausfindig machen können?
