Das Seminar „Smartphone-Einsatz im Unterricht“ ist im Bereich der Mediendidaktik verortet. Die Studierenden erarbeiten in Kleingruppen in Absprache mit Lehrkräften ein jeweils individuelles Konzept zur Umsetzung einer Unterrichtseinheit mit Smartphones (z.B. mittels Audioaufnahmen; Fotografie; Videografie etc.) an einer weiterführenden Schule (ab der neunten Klasse).
Das Konzept wird durch die Studierenden praktisch im Unterricht an Bielefelder Schulen umgesetzt und zudem qualitativ forschend begleitet. Auf diese Weise erwerben die Studierenden sowohl mediendidaktische als auch forschungsmethodische Kompetenzen.
