Dieses Modul soll grundlegende Kenntnisse der Regulationen zellulärer Vorgänge in Eukaryoten vermitteln und deren Bedeutung für biotechnologische Entwicklungen aufzeigen.
Dazu werden verschiedene Signalwege und –Transduktionsprinzipien genauer betrachtet: einerseits Prinzipien der Signalerkennung und Weiterleitung, andererseits Beispiele intrazelluläre Regulationsmechanismen wie Zellzyklus / Proliferation, Zelldifferenzierung (Wnt-Signalweg), Apoptose oder der Insulin / Phosphoinositol-3-Kinase-Weg.
Im Seminar präsentieren die Teilnehmer verschiedene Detektionsmethoden zellulärer Prozesse und deren Anwendung und diskutieren Chancen, Nutzen und Limitierungen der Techniken.
