Das Seminar soll zum einen eine Einführung in die rechtlichen Grundlagen des Vollzugs von Freiheits- und Jugendstrafen und damit in die rechtlichen Grundlagen Sozialer Arbeit im Strafvollzug bieten. Zum anderen wird die Praxis des Strafvollzugs anhand kriminologischer Theorien und empirischer Befunde beleuchtet.
