231229 Postcolonial Voices: Literature, Identity and Resistance (StGr) (WiSe 2024/2025)

Contents, comment

This study group explores postcolonial voices with proposed focuses on themes such as language as a tool of power, Gothic fiction and the colonial mind, feminist perspectives, indigenous narratives and oral traditions as well as queering postcolonial literature/voices. One aspect of the group's work will be close analyses of short stories, song lyrics and videos to understand cultural resistance and identity formation. This will require willingness to participate actively and contribute to discussions.
