Ein Schulaufsatz wird schlecht benotet, ein Roman von der Kritik zerrissen, eine Arbeitsgruppe „Bürgernahe Verwaltungstexte“ nimmt ihre Arbeit auf… In alltäglichen Situationen wie diesen kommen mehr oder weniger klar umrissene Vorstellungen darüber zum Vorschein, wie Texte bestimmter Textsorten eigentlich aussehen sollten und welche Kriterien sie erfüllen müssten, um ihrer Funktion optimal gerecht zu werden. Der Kurs wird sich auf die Suche nach derartigen Textidealen und ihren Wirkungen auf die Wahrnehmung und Produktion von Texten begeben. Inhaltliche Schwerpunkte bilden in diesem Zusammenhang das Wissen über Textmuster, die Bewertung von Texten und nicht zuletzt die Frage, ob Textideale überhaupt einlösbar sind.
