Das Seminar dient der theoretischen und praktischen Einführung und Vertiefung ins experimentell-wissenschaftliche Arbeiten. Die Studierenden lernen anhand eines selbst erstellten, durchgeführten und ausgewerteten Experimentes alle Schritte des experimentell-wissenschaftlichen Arbeitens kennen. Dies beinhaltet die Erarbeitung des Materials und Zusammenstellung von Stimuluslisten (in Excel), Programmierung des experimentellen Ablaufs (in E-Prime), Durchführung der Studie und Auswertung und Darstellung der Ergebnisse.
Format und Inhalte des Seminars
Das Seminar ist stark praxisorientiert. In Übersichtsstunden werden allgemeine Aspekte der Materialerstellung, Programmierung von Experimenten und Berichtverfassung präsentiert und selbstständig oder in Kleingruppen geübt. Die Datenerhebung und –auswertung wird von den Studierenden eigenständig koordiniert und durchgeführt (einzeln und in Kleingruppen) und vom Seminarleiter betreut.
Requirements for participation, required level

- Gute Englischkenntnisse sind empfehlenswert, da die Literatur größtenteils englischsprachig ist.
- Kenntnisse in der statistischen Auswertung multivariater Daten (Varianzanalyse) sind wünschenswert.
