This seminar is equivalent to the former "Teaching specific domains of English language competence" course, and people who need this course can still enrol for the new version.
The course provides an overview of the different areas of English language teaching that need to be considered in lesson planning, ranging from receptive skills like reading and listening to productive skills, such as speaking and writing. The aim is to explore how these areas can be integrated in your everyday English teaching in coherent ways – and how to deal with typical problems you may encounter in school-life.
The seminar features a practice-oriented approach which will include presentations on both theory and practice for active participation.
There is a permanent shelf (Lennon/Maschmeier) in the library (C) which can be used for preparation and course work. A digital reader will be set up on stud.ip.
