Die Zeit der Promotion ist meistens auch eine Phase der Entscheidung für oder gegen eine Karriere in Forschung und Lehre. Einerseits stellt die Hochschule ein interessantes und vielfältiges Arbeitsfeld dar, andererseits machen unklare Anforderungen und ein enger Stellenmarkt die Entscheidung nicht leicht. Doch auch der außeruniversitäre Arbeitsmarkt lässt sich besonders für Geistes-und SozialwissenschaftlerInnen nicht leicht erschließen, so dass viele Fragen offen bleiben.
• Ist mein Qualifikationsprofil ausreichend?
• Welche Anforderungen werden an mich gestellt?
• Welche Aufgaben passen zu meinem Profil?
• Was muss ich wann wie entscheiden?
• …In diesem Workshop erhalten die Teilnehmer/-innen Gelegenheit, unterschiedliche Karriereoptionen und Anforderungen genauer zu reflektieren. Es werden Methoden zur Entscheidungsfindung vorgestellt, die für die Klärung und Planung nächster beruflicher Schritte hilfreich sind.
Der Workshop ist für Promovierende aller geistes- und sozialwissenschaftlichen Fakultäten geöffnet, BGHS-Mitglieder haben bei der Teilnahme Vorrang.
