Inter- und Transdisziplinarität sind für die Geschlechterforschung von zentraler Bedeutung. Doch auch wenn sie für das Selbstverständnis vieler Geschlechterforscher_innen kostitutiv ist, so bestehen doch recht unterschiedliche Vorstellungen, was genau Inter- und Transdiszilinarität meint und welche Rolle sie bei der Institutionalisierung von Geschlechterforschung spielen soll. Im Seminar sollen die zentralen Positionen dieser Debatte diskutiert werden und es soll herausgearbeitet werden, was eine inter- und transdisziplinäre Untersuchung von disziplinären Untersuchungen unterscheidet. Im Anschluss sollen anhand von kleineren Projektarbeiten in Gruppen Erfahrungen gemacht mit Möglichkeiten und Grenzen der Interdisziplinarität gemacht werden. Ziel ist, nicht nur theoretische Kenntnisse zu erlangen, sondern interdisziplinäres Arbeiten konkret zu üben.
