Requirements for participation, required level

What is security, and how do different people - both individually and collectively - engage with questions of security? Across Asia, questions of security present in different ways: from discourses around refugees, free speech, to the war on drugs, the Undestanding Asia colloquium invites speakers who link their research to an overall theme of cultures of securitization, or desecuritization. Please join us for a lecture series that will grapple with big questions, including what does it mean to be secure, anyway? In a world changing at great speed, this discussion has implications for Asia and beyond.
