In diesem Seminar werden wir uns mit der Frage beschäftigen wie und warum neue Wörter entstehen, indem wir zunächst die Verfahren kennen lernen, nach denen neue Wörter entstehen (Wortbildung wie z.B. "Coronahelfer", Fremdwortübernahme wie "Brexit", Bedeutungsveränderungen wie "Weib" oder Kunstwortbildung wie "Zalando"). Gleichzeitig lernen wir wie man Neologismenwörterbücher (vgl. beispielsweise https://www.owid.de/docs/neo/start.jsp) und Korpora des Deutschen (vgl. https://www.dwds.de/ und https://cosmas2.ids-mannheim.de/cosmas2-web/) nutzen kann, um eigene kleine empirische Studien durchzuführen und Neologismen im Unterricht zu behandeln.
