Ziel des Projektes CELLmicrocosmos ist die Erstellung einer frei
explorierbaren biologischen Zelle (Leberzelle) und die Präsentation der
Ergebnisse im Internet. Die Durchführung basiert auf einem 3D-Zellmodell,
das hauptsächlich aus experimentell mikroskopischen Daten gewonnen wird.
Diese Daten liefern die Grundlage der eigentlichen interaktiven
stereoskopischen Animation (=Navigation durch die Zelle und deren
Kompartimente), die auch auf molekularer Ebene erfolgen soll (z.B.
exemplarischer Aufbau der Membran-Struktur). Die Dokumentation des Projektes
soll im Rahmen einer Internet Präsention erfolgen.
