Das Praktikum vermittelt fortgeschrittene Aspekte der Reaktionstechnik und ist komplementär zum Teilmodul Biokatalyse Theorie. Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf Analyse und Betrieb von Reaktoren für die Biokatalyse.
Das Praktikum führt in grundlegende Techniken und Methoden der Biokatalyse ein. Die Enzymimmobilisierung und der Betrieb von Festbett- und Fließbettreaktor stehen auf dem Programm. Die titrimetrische Analyse der Hydrolyse eines Aminosäureesters zur Racematenspaltung ist eine elegante Methode zur Verfolgung der Reaktion sowohl im einphasigen als auch im zweiphasigen Reaktionssystem. Als Reaktion mit Coenzymregenerierung wird die Phosphorylierung von Glycerin unter parallelem Verbrauch von Phosphoenolpyruvat durchgeführt.
