Das Seminar bietet seit 1994 Jahren die Möglichkeit, sich mit dem Medium Video zu beschäftigen und die Grundlage der Filmgestaltung anhand handlungsorientierter Übungen sofort umsetzen zu können. Anfänger und Fortgeschrittene finden adäquate Angebote, um sich mit Videokamera, digitaler Schnitttechnik und digitaler 3D Postproduktion vertraut zu machen. Außerdem werden Gäste aus verschiedenen Praxisfeldern der Film- und Medienarbeit berichten.
In Kleingruppen werden verschiedene Themen und Darstellungsformen erprobt und anschließend wird die Produktion von selbstgedrehten kurzen Filmen in das UniVideoMagazin einer breiten Öffentlichkeit (z.B. durch Kanal 21, Bielefeld) zugänglich zu machen.
