Der polnisch-jüdische Schriftsteller, Kinderarzt und Pädagoge Janusz Korczak (1878 - 1942) verstand sich vor allem als "Pädologen". Das Seminar möchte über eine Hinführung zu seinem Lebenswerk und eine Darstellung der Bezüge zum reformpädagogischen "Umfeld" hinaus einige "Schlüssel" zum Verständnis seiner "Kindheitsforschung" liefern, unter anderem über den "diagnostischen Blick", die "Achtung vor dem Kind", über "narrative Elemente" im pädagogischen Alltag und über den Anspruch des Kindes "von Angesicht zu Angesicht" als Basis für eine "Ethik des Anderen".
