This course will include an excursion to the Ludwig Museum in Cologne (group train ticket Bielefeld-Cologne and entrance fee). We will focus on American avant-garde art (photography, painting, performance, poetry, music) propelled by primitivism and technology and will place American avant-garde arts in an intercultural context.
