230220 Interface von experimentellen, qualitativen und quantitativen Methoden (V) (WiSe 2007/2008)

Für den Kurs sehe ich Juni 2007 folgendes Programm vor: In Zusammenarbeit mit KollegInnen aus der Technischen Fakultät und Mitarbeitern aus dem Projekt "Gesture-speech Alignment" des SFB 673 "Alignment in Communication" wird das Thema "Gesten in face-to-face-Kommunikation" behandelt. Anhand dieses Themas wird erarbeitet, wie eine zeitgemäße Methodologie Techniken und Instrumentarien aus verschiedenen Paradigmen benützt, um zu wissenschaftlichen Erklärungen zu kommen. Vorgesehen sind die folgenden Arbeitseinheiten: Experimente in einer Virtual Reality Umgebung unter Verwendung von body-movement tracking, die Erzeugung von Rohdaten, Annotation von Rohdaten mit ELAN, statistische Untersuchung der Daten, Gestentypologie, Gestenrekonstruktion und Gestensimulation.
