Diese Veranstaltung beginnt mit einem Lektürekurs in Allgemeiner Wissenschaftstheorie. Zugrunde gelegt wird dabei der folgende Text:
Detel, Wolfgang: 2007, Erkenntnis- und Wissenschaftstheorie. Grundkurs, Bd. 4. Reclam
Daran schließt sich eine Fallstudie aus dem Bereich der linguistischen Modellierung an, welche es erlaubt, u. a. die folgenden, wissenschaftstheoretisch einschlägigen Themen für die Entwicklung einer linguistischen Theorie zu behandeln:
Welche Techniken der Datenerzeugung werden eingesetzt?
Wie werden Daten weiter verarbeitet?
Was gilt als empirisches Datum?
Welches sind die zugrunde gelegten Hypothesen?
Welcher Typ von Erklärung wird angestrebt?
Welche Methoden sollen angewendet werden?
Wie werden Simulation und Theoriekonstruktion eingesetzt?Anforderung an aktive Teilnahme: Vortrag plus Extended Abstract zum Vortrag.
