Der Kurs gibt eine Einführung in Methodik, Fragestellungen und Themen der Wissenschaftsgeschichte. Dabei werden vorwiegend die Ausdifferenzierung der Naturwissenschaften, die Institutionalisierung der Forschung an Universitäten, staatlichen Einrichtungen und in der Industrie, sowie die Formierung unterschiedlicher Wissenschaftskulturen behandelt. Wir werden die genannten Bereiche anhand wichtiger Begriffe der neueren Wissenschaftsgeschichte analysieren. Die Veranstaltung ist in einen Vorlesungsteil und einen Übungs-/Referatsteil gegliedert. Verpflichtend für den Leistungsnachweis sind die Erfüllung der Aufgaben und die Übernahme eines Referats.
