220047 Geschichte der Evolutionstheorien (GST) (WiSe 2007/2008)

Charles Darwins 1859 erschienenes Werk "On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection" hat tiefgreifende Veränderungen in den Vorstellungen von der Entstehung der Arten und der Entwicklungsgeschichte des Menschen bewirkt, allerdings auch teilweise bis heute geführte Kontroversen ausgelöst. Der Gedanke der Evolution geht dabei keineswegs auf Darwin zurück, sondern ist Teil einer älteren Wirkungsgeschichte. Das Seminar behandelt die wichtigsten Evolutionskonzepte sowie die sozialwissenschaftlichen Voraussetzungen und Folgen von Darwins Theorie.
