In this course, the main objective is to improve students’ overall academic writing skills in English. This will be accomplished through regular writing activities done both in class and at home. We will use Moodle as a learning platform to share information and work on writing activities. This course will also teach students how to choose a suitable topic for expository or persuasive essays, structuring their writing, integrating supports through research and in-text citations, write using academic English, and other formalities of academic writing.
The students are expected to work on a writing portfolio that is to be handed in for their 'Studienleistungen' at the end of the semester.
