Um in der späteren Schulpraxis auch Fragen beantworten zu können, die auf die Methoden der Archäologen abzielen, sollen hier Themen diskutiert werden zu folgenden methodischen Themenbereichen: Organisation des Faches Ur- und Frühgeschichte in Deutschland, Fundstellensuche, Ausgrabung, Auswertung der Befunde und Funde, Datierung, Kartierung, Deutung und Vergleich der Befunde (noch erweiterbar). Um redundante Informationen zu vermeiden, wird der Stoff vom Lehrenden in Vortragsform mit - hoffentlich reger - Diskussion vermittelt. Den Abschluss bildet am Ende der Veranstaltung eine kleine Klausur als Leistungsnachweis.
