230083 German for Beginners 2 (level A2) (Ü) (WiSe 2007/2008)

Language course for international students of the Bielefeld Graduate Schools and other subjects (mainly) taught in English, as well as for visiting assistants and professors.

This course provides you with basic knowledge of German to find your way through Germany and the University of Bielefeld. It aims at helping you to understand and speak everyday language and to handle more complex conversation too. The course will assist you in improving your communicative skills as well as your grammar knowledge in a relaxed atmosphere. The course will focus on communicative situations relevant at the university, provides information on German culture, and aims at helping students to integrate into university life and into German society in general. Additional cultural activities will be part of the programme.

This course is equivalent to level A2 within the European Framework of Reference for Languages. Participation will be certified after an exam.

Prior registration is obligatory for participation in this course. New students can sit a placement test if applicable. For further information on the course and our terms of enrolment, please contact the PunktUm staff in C3-226 during office hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2.00-4.00 p.m.
