In diesem Kurs wird ein wesentlicher Teil der lateinischen Formenlehre und Syntax vermittelt, eingeübt und an Originaltexten angewendet sowie ein grundständiger Wortschatz erarbeitet. Mithilfe von Wortschatz, Formenlehre und Satzsyntax soll am Ende dieses Kurses die Fähigkeit erreicht sein, Originaltexte einfacher bis mittlerer Komplexität selbständig übersetzen und verstehen zu können. Anhand der Texte werden Grundkenntnisse in römischer Kultur und Geschichte sowie deren Rezeption vermittelt.
Der Kurs wird im Sommersemester als Kurs II fortgeführt. Der Kurs wird im Sommersemester als Kurs II fortgeführt. Zugangsvoraussetzung für Kurs II ist das Bestehen der Modulabschlußprüfung von Kurs I. Dies gilt auch für evtl. Quereinsteiger. Am Ende von Kurs II sollen Kenntnisse und Anwendungsfertigkeiten soweit vertieft und gefestigt sein, daß das Latinum in einer staatlichen Erweiterungsprüfung erworben werden kann.

Der Kurs verlangt keine Vorkenntnisse in der lateinischen Sprache. Alles wird grundständig erklärt.

Voraussetzung für die Vergabe der Leistungspunkte ist die Erbringung von Studienleistungen durch aktive kontinuierliche Beteiligung am Unterricht, insbesondere durch Erledigung und Vorstellung der Hausaufgaben, die Teilnahme an den angebotenen Evaluationen und das Bestehen der Modulabschlußprüfung. Dies ist auch Voraussetzung für die Zulassung zu Kurs II, der sich im Sommersemester anschließt.
Termin der Modulabschlußprüfung ist Mittwoch, der 18.2.1015, 10 s.t.-12.00, H 3; der Wiederholungstermin ist am 26.3., 10-12.00, H 2.
