Die Veranstaltung vermittelt in systematischer Weise grundlegende Konzepte, Zugriffsweisen und Ergebnisse der soziologischen Organisationsforschung.
Folgende Themenblöcke sind vorgesehen:
1. Mitgliedschaft in formalen und assoziativen Organisationen
2. Organisation als System: Entscheidungen, Strukturen, Umwelten
3. Die anderen Seiten der Organisation: Informalität, Macht, Kultur
4. aktuelle Problemfelder der Organisationsforschung
5. Organisation und GesellschaftDie Veranstaltung kombiniert Vorlesungsanteile mit der Diskussion von Grundlagentexten. Die Teilnahme an der Veranstaltung erfordert die regelmäßige vorbereitende Lektüre von Grundlagentexten sowie die Einsendung von Fragen zu den Texten.
Eine aktive Teilnahme wird nur bescheinigt, wenn die Fragen regelmäßig eingehen. Leistungsnachweise können grundsätzlich durch schriftliche Hausarbeiten erworben werden; es wird aber empfohlen, diese nicht in der Grundlagenveranstaltung, sondern in speziellen Veranstaltungen zur Organisationssoziologie zu erwerben.
