GIS-Systeme dienen Biologen und Umweltwissenschaftlern dazu, räumliche Objekte und Sachverhalte zu modellieren, Daten im Feld oder sekundär aus Kartenquellen zu erfassen, diese zu analysieren und kartografisch darzustellen. Der Kurs vermittelt anwendungsorientiert Grundkenntnisse im Umgang mit GIS-Systemen.
