Veranstaltungsübergreifend
Die Masterarbeit ist eine schriftliche Ausarbeitung im Umfang von 25.000 Wörtern. Das Thema der Masterarbeit wird von der oder dem die Arbeit betreuenden prüfungsberechtigten Lehrenden ausgegeben, der/die zugleich als erste/r Gutachter/in der Arbeit fungiert. Ein/e zweite/r Gutachter/in wird durch das Studiendekanat bestimmt, das hierbei auf Vorschläge des/der Studierenden Rücksicht nimmt. Die Arbeit wird beim Prüfungsamt angemeldet und der Ausgabezeitpunkt aktenkundig gemacht. Die Bearbeitungszeit für die Masterarbeit beträgt vier Monate. Die Arbeit ist fristgerecht abzugeben.

Veranstaltungsübergreifend
Die Masterarbeit wird in einem 60minütigen Kolloquium verteidigt.
Das Disputationscolloquium soll innerhalb von zwei Wochen nach Mitteilung der Bewertung der Masterarbeit durch beide Gutachter stattfinden und dauert 60 Minuten. Es wird von den beiden Gutachtern der Masterarbeit abgenommen.
