In diesem Modul soll die eigenständige Planung und Durchführung experimenteller Laborarbeiten erlernt werden. Dazu werden Klonierungsaufgaben gestellt, die von den Studierenden in kleinen Gruppen zunehmend selbständig bearbeitet werden. Im Seminar werden die Aufgaben gestellt und zunächst gemeinsam Strategien zu ihrer Lösung erarbeitet. Im weiteren Verlauf bildet das Seminar den Rahmen, die von den Studierenden vorgeschlagenen Arbeitspläne für die anschließende Übung zu besprechen, Hilfestellung bei auftretenden Problemen zu geben und Ergebnisse zu diskutieren. In der Übung werden die in den Praktika Genomforschung I und II vorgestellten Methoden vertieft und so die Grundlage für eigenständiges Arbeiten im Rahmen von Projektmodulen und Bachelorarbeit gelegt.
