Die Veranstaltung möchte mit den Teilnehmern in konkreten Übungen den Einsatz von Datenbanksoftware bei der Durchführung von Promotionsprojekten erproben. TeilnehmerInnen sollten konkrete Vorstellung über die Daten (Quellen) mitbringen, die sie in ihrem Projekt auszuwerten gedenken. Die Veranstaltung wird zunächst kurz in Datenbanktheorie und Datenmodelle einführen und dann in workshops konkrete projektbezogene Datenbanken entwickeln sowie verschiedene Modelle und Arbeitsmethoden vergleichend diskutieren.
Die Veranstaltung wird im Wintersemester 14/15 wiederholt.
