In diesem Seminar untersuchen wir die Verwendung verschiedener Satztypen (formal definiert) für unterschiedliche Sprechakte (Bitte, Versprechen, Frage, Aussage etc.) im Sprachvergleich. Wir versuchen, Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschiede in den Sprachen zu erkennen und sie in eine Theorie von Sprechakten einzubetten. Ein Schwerpunkt des Kurses liegt auf dem Thema der "indirekten Sprechakte", d.h. der Beobachtung, dass häufig sowohl der wörtliche Inhalt einer Äußerung als auch deren formaler Satztyp nicht mit der kommunizierten Botschaft übereinstimmt.
