Die Veranstaltung beschäftigt sich neben der geschichtlichen Entwicklung der Kinder- und Jugendliteratur mit der Analyse und Rezension ausgewählter Formen (z. B. Bilderbuch, Märchen). Ausgehend davon liegt der Schwerpunkt auf der didaktisch-methodischen Umsetzung, insbesondere in der Primarstufe.
Für den Nachweis der aktiven Teilnahme ist regelmäßiges Erscheinen erforderlich. Zum Erwerb eines benoteten oder unbenoteten Leistungsnachweises ist die Übernahme eines Referates und seine schriftliche Ausarbeitung verpflichtend.
