239982 Research Paradigms and Projects in English Linguistics (S) (SoSe 2014)

Contents, comment

This seminar, which is also open to advanced BA students as well as doctoral students, we will be looking at current research in various fields of English linguistics. After a general introduction on how to plan and organize a research project and how to write research papers, students will be offered insights into ongoing and completed research projects in linguistics. Most of the meetings will be workshop-like, including presentations from scholars in- and outside from Bielefeld. Further topics will be determined by participants, who will present their current and planned work with the aim of getting feedback on their ideas and results. Each student will be expected to present a small scale study of her/his own at the end of term.
