239733 Writing (S) (SoSe 2014)

In this course the main objective is to improve students’ overall writing skills in English. This will be accomplished through regular writing activities done both in class and at home. Students will be encouraged to write regularly in a variety of genres (e.g. summaries, editorials, academic, creative, etc.). A large part of this course will involve the implementation of “writing with and for peers”. That is, students will work closely together with a peer or peers to plan, draft, develop, create, edit, and re-edit their writings. The process of writing, therefore, will be a significant component of this course as students learn to express themselves about a variety of content matters in their foreign language.
