If you entered this class into your schedule but did not receive a seat, DO NOT CONTACT JESSICA. Instead, contact Denny Klassen (denny.klassen@uni-bielefeld.de) and Burak Akar (burak.akar@uni-bielefeld.de) or ideally just come to the first session of the study group and talk to us at the end.
Video games often tell fascinating stories. Not only do games like The Witcher 3, Dark Souls 3, Fallout 4 and Fallout: New Vegas introduce us to new worlds, but they let us be a part of it and let us experience a part of it by ourselves. But how exactly do they do that? How do video games tell stories? In this student-led study group, we will explore the video games mentioned above in terms of storytelling, world-building, ludonarrotolgy and other areas of interest. It is not required to have played or have knowledge of the games mentioned above as we will discuss them in class and also have two or three “game nights” besides our regular meeting slot.
To receive a Studienleistung for this study group active and regular participation is necessary as well as handing in a specific number of session protocols.

In cases where a module description mentions more than one kind of assignment, the respective member of the teaching staff will decide which task(s) they assign the students.
