Das Konzept der Universitätsschule erlebt sowohl im deutschsprachigen Raum als auch international seit einigen Jahren einen regelrechten Boom. Orientiert am US-amerikanischen Modell der Laboratory School, können Universitätsschulen dabei auch als Innovationslabore der Schulentwicklung begriffen werden: als systematische Kooperationen von Universitäten und Einzelschulen, die sowohl pädagogische Innovationen entwickeln und erforschen als auch neue Wege des Innovierens zu gehen versuchen. Im Seminar wollen wir uns vor diesem Hintergrund mit Geschichte, Theorie und Praxis ebensolcher Universitätsschulen auseinandersetzen – wobei wir zu diesem Zweck auch Vertreter*innen deutscher sowie internationaler Universitätsschulen in unser Seminar einladen werden. Ein Teil der Seminardiskussion wird vor diesem Hintergrund auch auf Englisch stattfinden.

Für eine Studienleistung wird eine regelmäßige Anwesenheit und Mitarbeit in den Seminarsitzungen, die Lektüre von Texten zur Vorbereitung sowie die Erarbeitung und Durchführung einer kurzen Gruppenpräsentation erwartet. Möglichkeiten zur Absolvierung einer benoteten oder unbenoteten Modulprüfung werden in der ersten Seminarsitzung erläutert.
