In summer 2022 the FSZ founded an English Choir at Bielefeld University. It is an A Cappella choir focusing on modern English pop music literature.
Who can join?
Basically anyone can join the choir. It’s open for all students and staff. But you have to audition before you can join. Don’t worry, this is no talent show. But I need to know your vocal range, how good you can read sheet music, and if you can follow musical directions.
The choir doesn't go by the semester rhythm, we rehearse throughout the entire year. The next entry point would be October 2023. If you want to audition, ask for an appointment (the sooner the better). An entry later than November is not possible.
What will we be singing?
Last semester we continued our journey and gave our first performance at the "Nacht der Klänge" with popular songs from the last couple of years. For the time being until Christmas we will be working on a special project. From November on we will start to prepare our summer program.There is no English level requirement for the choir. You should be able to understand and follow musical directions in English though.
