Starting from the study of European cooperation and integration, this course takes a comparative perspective on regionalism in world society - broadly understood and including regionalization, regional cooperation, regional integration, as well as disintegration tendencies. In theoretical terms, the course will provide insights into both classic and current theories of European integration and regional cooperation. In empirical terms, the course will both give a broad overview of and conceptually discuss regionalization approaches in different parts of the world.
