Das Seminar findet als Lektürekurs statt, er werden Texte zum Problemkreis Herrschaft über Mensch und Natur gemeinsam gelesen und kritisch diskutiert. Dabei geht es zentral um die Rolle des Staates bei der Organisation von Gesellschaft und auch der Regulation des Naturverhältnisses. Die Texte werden zu Beginn der Veranstaltung zur Verfügung gestellt. Es wird eine Klausur angeboten und Interessenten können zu Themen, die gemeinsam abgesprochen werden, eine Hausarbeit und Referat anfertige.
