Einführung in das Strafvollzugsrecht und die Strafvollzugswirklichkeit mit den Schwerpunkten: Geschichte der Freiheitsstrafe, Praxis des Strafvollzuges in Deutschland, Anstaltsorganisation, Vollzugsablauf, Lebensbedingungen, Gefangenensubkultur, Vollzugsziel Resozialisierung, Behandlung, Therapie und Sicherheitsaspekte, Rechtsgrundlagen, Rechtsschutz, besondere Vollzugsformen, Erfolg und Rückfall.
Ein Grundlagenschein kann nicht erworben werden.
Die Veranstaltung zählt zum Pflichtbereich des Schwerpunktbereichs 8 (Kriminalwissenschaften) und zum Wahlbereich des Schwerpunktbereichs 9 (Strafverfahren und Strafverteidigung). Eine Hausarbeit wird nicht angeboten (Eine Examenshausarbeit im SPB 8 wird in den Veranstaltungen Kriminologie I, Jugendstrafrecht und Strafrechtliche Sanktionen, Prof. Dr. Bannenberg, angeboten).
Es sind Besichtigungen der Justizvollzugsanstalten Bielefeld geplant. Die konkreten Termine werden noch bekannt gegeben.
