Die Vorlesung zu diesem Modul gliedert sich in zwei Teile: den theoretischen Grundlagen der Mikrofluidik sowie deren Anwendung im Bereich Angewandte Lebenswissenschaftenund Biotechnologie. Schwerpunkt wird hierbei die Anwendung im Bereich Einzelzellkultivierung und Analyse sein. Anhand von aktuellen Beispielen aus Wissenschaft und Forschung werden charakteristische Merkmale und Funktionsweise ausgewählter Systeme erklärt und Möglichkeiten für Anwendungen in der Biotechnologie und Mikrobiologie diskutiert. Der letzte Teil der Vorlesung gibt einen Einblick in gegenwärtige Forschungsfelder und zukünftige Herausforderungen.
Die Vorlesung beinhaltet ein Seminar, welches verpflichtend ist. Seminarthemen sind im Lernraum zu finden.
