In diesem Seminar soll diskutiert werden, ob und inwieweit sich in der Lyrik um 2000 ein Epochenumbruch bemerkbar macht. Diese Fragestellung führt unmittelbar zu einer allgemeinen theoretischen Reflexion und Problematisierung von Gegenwartsliteratur und Literaturgeschichte. Dabei soll - gleichsam nach dem Prinzip der wohlwollenden Interpretation - nach guten Argumenten gesucht werden, die für einen Epochenumbruch um 2000 sprechen. Dies geschieht in der Auseinandersetzung mit literaturtheoretischen und literaturhistorischen Fragen sowie in der intensiven Lektüre von Gedichten. Anhand von ausgewählten Texten werden Gedichtanalyse und Gedichtinterpretation eingeübt und die dafür erforderlichen grundlegenden methodischen Kompetenzen vermittelt.
