In der angebotenen Lehrveranstaltung werden geschichtsdidaktische Grundlagen gefestigt und vertieft. Hierbei werden zentrale Begriffe wie Geschichtsbewusstsein, Historisches Erzählen und narrativer Geschichtsunterricht diskutiert und reflektiert.
Ein besonderes Augenmerk wird in der Veranstaltung auf die Sekundarstufe 1 gelegt. Hierzu werden Lehrpläne, Schulbücher und Vorgaben für die jeweiligen Schulformen in Hinblick auf Geschichtsunterricht thematisiert und beleuchtet. Auch das Fach „Gesellschaftslehre“ wird in seiner besonderen Konzeption bzgl. des geschichtsunterrichtlichen Anteils an Gesamtschulen fokussiert. Das Seminar bietet sowohl praktische Einblicke als auch theoretische Vertiefungs- und Reflexionsmöglichkeiten.
